Big Game Hunts

Here at Sheyenne Valley Lodge, we offer two types of big game hunts.  The first is trophy hunts for Elk, Buffalo and Whitetail Deer on approximately 2,000 acres.  No license is required for these hunts with rifle, bow, or muzzleloader, and are 100% successful.  The terrain is diverse enough to make your hunt as difficult as your want it to be.  With wooded areas, hills and different food plots the Elk, Deer, and Buffalo are always moving from place to place.

Season dates are from September 1 - March 31

The second type of hunt is the North Dakota season Whitetail Deer hunts on 30,000 acres of private land.  Bow season runs from September 1st to January 1st and licenses are available at the counter.  The rifle season runs from November 7th to 24th.  The licenses are issued by lottery which you need to apply for by June 1st and you will be notified by August 15th, successful or not.  We can send you the application or you can apply on the internet at www.state.nd.us/gnf .  The unit is 2k2.  If not successful, we will have some tags available for sale, but very few.

Hunts are done from stands, towers, ground blinds or spot & stalk.
